HUMBLE, TX - As the Humble community continues to grow with families, schools and grocery stores; a community pharmacy has also moved into the area to make sure those families continue to grow and stay in good health. WellCare Specialty Pharmacy is your community pharmacy that cares. The family owned business opened its' doors just before Thanksgiving. The pharmacy is located in the Humble-Atascocita area - 18321 W Lake Houston Pkwy. Suite 280, Humble, Texas 77346. The pharmacy will celebrate with its' official grand opening on Saturday, February 27, 2016 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

WellCare Specialty Pharmacy was created by two cousins who have over 10 years of experience as pharmacists. Dr. De Andrea Hogg and Dr. Amanda Kennedy wanted to fill a void after working for large retail pharmacies their entire career, and that void was to know their customers and show them that someone cares. The two pharmacists wanted to be a part of a community that shared their same values and cared about family.

Dr. Hogg and Dr. Kennedy said, "We are so excited to be a part of a growing community. It has been a dream to have our own pharmacy and through WellCare we want to not only be the place to pick up medication, but be a part of changing lives. We are honored to serve the Humble community."

The pharmacy specializes in Weight Loss, Diabetes Education and Transitions of Care. Within the next month, customers can sign up for the pharmacy Weight Loss Challenge and Diabetes Education classes. WellCare also offers a concierge service for their diabetic customers and delivery service for customers who are not able to pick up their medication! Because the pharmacists at WellCare care about the entire family, they didn't forget about the little ones - they also offer pediatric flavoring for children's medicine.
